Black or Blue Australorp?

I had a coop failure after 2 years and lost all 7 hens and my room so I had to go replenish my stock. Coop has been fixed and predator proofed so it will be ready when the new ones go out.

I got my chicks from TSC and they had a bin marked "Australorps" straight run. So I got 2 to mix in with my black sex link pullets and Easter eggers.

I assumed they were Black Australorps, but these guys look very grey to me, especially up against my black sex links.

So are the blue or black?

I got eight pullets from TSC also marked as Black Australorps, mine too ended up being "Blue", so I made peace with it and enjoyed watching them grow. They just started laying, but my eggs are white and small.
I keep trying to make some sense of it, but can't figure out what they really are.

Have you figured what breed yours are and are you getting brown or white eggs?

Your hens are Blue Andalusians.

We breed Blue Australorps, and they lay a brown egg.

Uhmmm..these are the "australorps" I bought at Tractor Supply this year. LOL. (Yes I Do Know that they are GLW)
