Calling all Cochin lovers!
Yes, I am a huge fan too, especially of the banties!
This year I ended up with a spicy little hen, Malt, who has a color pattern that I just can't define. She's headed for show in a month, and I've got to have an actual color to call her. Conformation wise, I think she's looking pretty good (comments welcome, I am notoriously bad at reading the SOP, even though I've been trying for over a decade
). I'd personally call her charcoal, but I'm thinking she's more blue than black, since she has a faint lacing that's pretty uniform throughout her plumage. If there are any judges out there, would you be more willing to call her black or blue? I'd love any feedback!
