He has the same shiny green/black feathers as the australorp but more green on the surface feathers than my Australorp cockerel. He also doesn't have the white wing feathers. And with his curly tail. . .
What do y'all think?

He came from TSC and was 1 of 3 black chicks in a bin of yellow chicks so I think they just got down to a few and threw them in with others randomly.
Oh, and he is slightly smaller than the other roo and was much slower to feather.

Thanks

He looks like an Australorp. Australorps shouldn’t have any white on them anywhere. Also, he should look a bit like an Orpington, because Australorps were Orpingtons who were brought to Australia, and bred more towards utilitarian purposes, hence the name Australian Orpington, the Australorp

My other roo has 1 white tipped feather on the end of each wing. I thought that was normal.
The reason I was curious about this 1 is the curly tail feathers and amount of fluff on the butt and undercarriage. He has always been a little smaller than the others but I don't think he is small enough to be a bantam. He is about the same size as the Australorp pullet of the same age.

They are bred to be completely black, however, an occasional white feather can happen, though this is undesirable. My Australorp hen also had a white tipped feather, but for only a year or two. Is there any way you could post a picture of both of the roosters, so we could have more comparison? Like the others said, the other roo could be a Jersey Giant

X2 I would check the bottom of the other one you're thinking is an Australorp cockerel too. The other one could actually be a Jersey Giant if he's larger and they're the same age.

Not sure what I'm looking for but here are the feet of the larger one. They all have grey legs.
Here also is a pic of all together. Little Bit and Hazel on the tire and big Hank on the IMG_20180531_114229135.jpg ground.

If all their feet are that pinky-gray they're all Australrops, Jersey Giants are bright yellow. I think he may actually be a faster maturing pullet. Sorry I didn't notice that at first set of pics, you can really see her feathers good in the pic of her on the tire, and seeing them next to Hank's makes it more obvious. Did one of the others pluck some of her tail feathers out when they were younger? They look like they might be regrowth.

No, his/her feathers we're not plucked. He was just very slow to feather out. You can see the back feathers between his wings are just coming in good. Until very recently, I thought I might have to make him a chicken apron for the winter just to keep him warm.
The tail feathers just came in this way and never changed. I assume there is a mix in there somewhere. I thought he might be a bantam but think he is too big for that now. He postures with Hank a lot. A lot of raised hackles and mid air chest bumps but no fighting. Hank is definitely alpha.
I never thought about him being a her but would be happy with that. We only have 5 chickens so the fewer roosters the better. I still want to add an Easter egger or two.
I'm probably overthinking but I love the guessing game.
