I agree it seems low, but consider that is the annual rate, not the daily rate. That incudes molts and winter breaks.
Most of my birds lay nearly daily as well but do take an annual break.
I'd say some are in the 160 range while others are in the 200+ range.

Could be.
I assume that is the average of the first 2 years.

Pita Pintas are from the North of Spain.
There are lots of Spanish breeds but only 2 with carnation combs. Penes and Empordanesas.
Others from Spain are Catalanas, White Faced Black Spanish, Minorcas, Andalusians, Castelanas, Euskal Oiloas. There are lots of others but none of them in the US that I know of.
 
I just got 3 from a feed store. I have never seen or heard of them until now. After some research they seemed like a wonderful addition to my flock. Do you have a picture of the chicks. I'm just having a hard time believing something so rare would be at the local feed store. Here's a picture of them, do they look right?
