Black Polish?

I was told this was a 5 week old white crested polish. I knew this was not true when I got him/her because the crest is obviously black. But I have been unable to find any black polishes on the internet so I’m thinking they may not exist. Was thinking it could be a Houdan but it only has 4 toes. Are there black polishes or is this another breed? Also, I know it’s probably too soon to tell, but if anyone can tell, I’d be interested to know the sex as well.

Any healthy chicken with black feathers will have some sort of sheen.

Is it possible it hasn't gotten it's adult crest feathers yet? I am not sure when they come is as I got the two I have as teenagers. Just a thought

Any healthy chicken with black feathers will have some sort of sheen.

Okay…Some breeds have a colored sheen, I was just trying to help

You can get black polish although they are really hard to get. Looking like a pullet so far @JustBabyMargo and @AngBantamLuv can help with this more than me.

Where did you purchase her from? She’s 5 weeks old, correct? At first I was thinking maybe a Crevecoeur, but she lacks a beard, which can happen sometimes. Her body type looks right for that breed though. Oh, and yes, so far, she’s a pullet.
