I have two 20- week old black sex-links that are almost 21 weeks old and they have still not started laying. Is something wrong? My red-sex link started laying 16 weeks of age, and has been laying every day since.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, Playswithfowl

..someday!....lol...good luck..Wendy

I have 3 black sexlinks and only 1 is laying yet.

so I figure the other 2 are not far behind, there are almost 24 weeks

My one that is laying is such a good girl I get an egg from her every single day.

Hang in there

I'm having the same issue along with spatcher, who I sold some Golden Comets to. Grrrr... Everything I read said they start to lay around 16 weeks. NOT TRUE!!! Just to let you know, spatcher, along with myself, are feeling your pain.

One of them has a really red come and they other is starting to get red too. Both do the squatting thing. Ugh

Chalk us up on the list of 20 week old Black Stars with no eggs yet

No squatting as far as I can tell so far, but they are hanging out in the boxes and playing with the golf balls... gotta wait and see I guess!

ALL my hens are moulting and have quit laying, maybe for the year? Could it already be the shortening daylight? I have a jersey giant thats about 6 months old and have not seen one egg either.
