Black sex links

2 of my BSL chicks have brown on their faces and 2 do not. I thought they were all female.

boys have white faces, and/or white dots on their head. Mine were more like white headed though.

girls have either brown, red or buff faces (depending on the color of the rooster).

In this photo: 3 girls and 4 boys

You'll know pretty quick as they start to grow up and the boys get a lot whiter barred looking pretty quickly.

Just the white on the top of the head determines the sex. As long as the top of the head is black, it's a female.
