We have 9 chickens that have never been bothered by snakes - maybe because our rooster takes care of business? Regardless, I have had black snake problems ever since getting my guinea keets back in May. A large snake killed a 6-week old in my garage before we moved them out to their out door coop, then a week later another snake apparently got into the coop and hid so we didn't see it when we closed up for the night... the next morning, it was laying in the coop next to a dead keet. But 6 and 7 weeks old were WAY to huge for the snakes to swallow. I can't figure out why they just cruise on in and kill them!
