Black Spots on Comb

I am new to raising chickens - this is my first winter. I live in Northern Illinois and the temperatures have ranged from 7 to -7 the last few days. These spots (see picture) appeared on one of my girls. Not sure if it’s frostbite, fowl pox or just pecking. Any thoughts? I should mention that I took these pictures after putting on Vaseline since, to the best of my limited knowledge, I thought it was frostbite. Also, has anyone had any problems with very odd red spots showing up on the chicken feeder? (I included a pictures of my feeder.) It is smeared with red blotches that more closely match the color of my girls combs then blood. It also appeared on the coop door. Any ideas what’s going on? I couldn’t find any discussions on what could be happening.

Those are probably peck marks, and blood droplets on feeders. But can you check for mites around her face and eyes—the picture shows something tiny and brown around her eye and face. Use a magnifying glass if necessary. Mites should be treated with application of permethrin 10% spray or the garden dust, both available at feeds stores. Mites need treatment once and at 7 day intervals until gone, along with removal of all bedding and nests, tresting those, and replacing with new bedding. If they are overcrowded from staying inside, they may need more room or any bullies should be separated.
