black spots

There are little black spots on the hens head and the other ladies a peckin her. What is it.

Interesting to hear that this is happening to someone else. I have a hen that had a little black dot on her ear area for about 2 weeks and now I'm seeing a large scabby area on the top of her head. I haven't seen too much in the way of bullying from the others, but she's keeping to herself these days. She's also got swollen sinuses (may or may not be related?). I've started looking into fowl pox. Maybe that's somewhere to start. Hopefullly someone w/ more experience will respond here and I'll keep checking back.

yea she has been clucking funny too and wiping her beek on the ground alot and pruning herself more than the others.
