Black Star Hen, but I don't know!

Greetings,

I'm wondering if my Black Star pullet is really a cockerel. I bought him/her from a local feed store as a Black Star pullet.There was no white spot on top of the head. She's currently 4 months old and has been crowing like a rooster. I have 3 other hens that I purchased with her. I'm not sure if she's just the dominant hen in the flock or actually a rooster.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Cockerel and appears to be an Australorp or a JG, which is why the head spot didn't work.

Could you post a pic of your pullets? The picture is definitely a roo, but interested to see if you ended up with all of them a different breed (other than the Black Star you expected)

Yes, a cockerel and not a Black Star. If he were a Black Star he'd have barred plumage.

Thanks. I only got one supposed black star. The others are buff orpington, light brahma, and leghorn.
