Not sure this is the correct forum for this question but is it normal for a black star pullet to have like a forest green sheen to them and have black combs??? They are really cool looking just a little strange.

Not sure about chickens but almost all black waterfowl have a green sheen to them.

Any chicken with black feathers can have that irridescent sheen--green to purple--in the sunlight. You're all good, and as long as it's not barred with white stripes it's a girl.

Thanks guys we were just a little unsure they are very pretty that is for sure. No white on them I am sure they are all girls they are all black with red on their necks. They also are around 12 weeks old. These are our first chickens :)
