black, sticky poo

My chickens are an a normal diet of feed, grass and bugs with the occasional scratch feed and bananas. Mine have always had black poop every once in a while. I thought it was normal.

I know my birds end up with a case of black poo at this time of year because they are eating dozens of lbs of black berries on low vines and on the ground.

I use the wormer from holistic horse and just love it. It's not horse wormer thats just the name of the company. The wormer is for poultry. It has very little flax in it. I mix about a cup of flax to 50 lbs of feed and have never had any problems. With this wormer you mix about a cup and a quarter to 50 lbs of feed.
