My Buff Orpington has had this black stuff on her comb and face for a few days. I was so focused on keeping my flock cool in this intense heat that I just thought it was dirt from all the dust bathing. But now I'm wondering. On closer inspection it doesn't look like dirt at all. Any ideas? She seems herself (eating, drinking, pooping, dust bathing). She hasn't laid an egg in over a year and a half (the conclusion was that she has some reproductive problem.) Thoughts?
