Black Swedish has a cold!!!!

Hi, we just got 4 black swedish ducklings and one of them sneezes, coughs, has a stuffy nose, and when she swims, she coughs up sticky mucus, does anyone know if there could be a cure, and if there was, what is the treatment. Thanks for any Advice.

Sounds like the beginning of a sinus infection. If that is the case, antibiotics can help, and depending on how far along it is, may be the only thing to do to avoid tragedy.

On the other hand, it may just be she needs to clean her nares out more frequently.

How often do they bathe and do they have head wash water available at all times?

You need to provide water deep enough for them to dip their entire head into it, nares and all. They need water 24/7 as ducklings with their food.

If its a respiratory infection the duckling will need treated with antibiotics to get over it.
