I kept back four out of 40 chicks from my chicks from February and it figures two turned out to be roos! I really hate to have to find a new home for "Jenny" but he is not a "she" and our town does not allow roosters.
Jenny is definately a roo and has started to quietly crow. Bright snow white with black tail, in great feather and health. Spends half the time in coop with mixed flock and half free range. Gets along great with others and was held a lot. Will go to sleep in your hands if you hold him, has always been sweet and loves to be held.
Breeding or pet home only!!! Can deliver if fairly close or meet at one of the swaps.
pm or email if questions!
I also, it turns out, have another one I thought was a girl that looks to be a boy also- a standard size dark brahma young (4 months old). I have been told by "those who know" that he would do well for someone looking to breed partridge color Brahmas. He's silver mottled. Sweet, comes when you call, eats from your hands just like Jenny (above). "Blossom" is not for the pot- pet or breeding home only. Hasn't crowed yet so in no hurry to place him but keeping an eye out because he will eventually. The two boys could go together as they have been raised together.
