Black toe

It looks dirty to me too. Look at the bottom of the foot for a swollen foot pad and a black dot--that would be bumblefoot. If nothing there just let her rest the foot in a crate for a few days, give her vitamins, and she will probably be fine. It may be a sprain.
 
Good morning! Quick update to let everyone know Tan is back to normal, yippee! I guess the black toe was just dirt.....lol, and either a small infection or sprain that crippled her as you suggested. She was so sweet after the treatment, she came up to say thank you.....adorable. I'll do a better job of taking close ups for next time (hopefully there won't be another time), but in the meantime, here she is fully recovered. Thanks again, BYC is awesome. :)

Glad she is better. By the way, she looks like a salmon faverolles to me instead of a brahma. You might google them to see what you think. I have several--very sweet chickens and roos.
 
Hi need help to got a rooster with two very black twos I think its dead the toes but still move them little I clean them and soak them should I cut it off the black on his towes?
