Hi! New to chickens and we picked up 3 red star on Friday May 15th. One is presenting with a black toenail. Should I be concerned. No swelling... seems to be pecking at it though.

She might have gotten it caught on fencing and twisted it, and I am sure that it is painful. It could die and fall off eventually.
