Black Widow, Friend or foe?

Bee stings don't carry a neurotoxin that attacks the central nervous system.

I've been bitten by a brown recluse, I still have the scars from it. and can tell you a bee sting is nothing in comparison.

Its up to you ok but i say kill it

I'm keeping her, I don't believe in sinceless killing. Hopefully she'll stay in Tiny's yard and not go to where the other chickens can get her.

Ahh, you totally rock, Trisha! I love Black Widows, they are so beautiful. Im a huge spider fan. I agree with you 100% though. Im the person who catches all of the bugs in the house while my dad, brother or mom are standing down the hall screaming like babies, lol. No senseless killing here either! Well, no killing! LOL!

Kill the nonvenomous snakes but save the venomous spiders?

Not all black widows have a red hourglass. Most females have red or orange markings of some sort. Glossy black bulbous abdomen is pretty good clue it's a black widow.

They are venomous. Some people may seriously react to a bite, others may not.

These a little (little being a relative term) that hide. If you go sticking your body parts into a dark place you might get bit or you might get bit by a black widow or worse, a brown recluse.

This time folks I'm with the kill it crowd.
