blackout with quail in incubator!!!!

quail egg in incubator and there is a big storm on me, the power blacked out for a second and then went back on. if the power goes out then how long before the quail die?(on day ten of incubation)
wrap it (incubator) in a warm towel... they should be fine for a while, if it doesn't come back on, take incubator out into your car and turn the heat on high , turn manually.

I had eggs in the incubator last for 3+ hours without power, I wrapped the incubator in a blanket, and it kept nice and warm. What type of quail are they, button quail eggs, in my experience are alot more sensitive to temp changes.

If the power goes out for more than a couple of hours, and you don't have a backup generator(I'm assuming you don't), than you can keep the eggs warm with a hot water bottle wrapped in a blanket. But be VERY careful about overheating them, use a reliable thermometer.

Good luck.

I dont really know, but the power was out about thirty minutes on my last hatch. It was chicken eggs, but I had a high hatch rate. It was actually better than the one before it. If it goes out again, the wrapping the incubator in a towel or blanket idea is good.
