Has anyone ever had this happen? The weird thing is this is from one of my sex links...who started laying about 2 months ago and has darn near laid every day. Since the day it laid this egg, neither sexlink is laying.

Looks like some excess calcium...shell gland glitch.
Was shell good and hard or is pale part thin shelled?
I'd not worry about it unless it is frequent or constant and/or bird is acting 'off'.

Since the day it laid this egg, neither sexlink is laying.

How long has that been?
Do you just have the 2 birds?
Do you free range?

I'll check. I havent cracked the egg yet. Will do tonight. Just this once.
They havent layed in a week...maybe 8 days. I have 13 chickens (7 year and a half old), 6 about 6-7 months old). The sexlinks (just have 2 of them) started laying right at 6 months and laid an egg almost every day for two weeks straight. They free range from 4p-8p when I get home from work. The rest of the day they are in the run.
