my chicken Maddie, a brown Cochin is a year old, recently she’s been not leaving her coop, and laying a lot of eggs. When I went to check on her one day, her face was bleeding a lot and her comb was grey and scabbed. I include pictures (of her poop too in case it might help?). Please help my chicken :) (bad chicken pooped on my shirt haha)

Welcome to BYC. Well, somehow she has injured her upper beak. Have you checked inside her beak ? Are there any lesions or yellowish deposits. It almost looks as if one of her flock mates or a rooster is picking on her. Comb color is good and feather quality looks good.

I don’t have roosters, but I do have other chickens that like to peck. Is there any way I can keep them from hurting each other?
