We are hatching our 1st incubated eggs...one needed help and so we help peel away the thick membrane and we see alot of blood - at least seems like it . the chick is still alive and seems strongs...about half the shell is surrounding it now - we didnt know what to do after we saw the blood so we wrapped it ina warm wet twoel and put it back in the bator - ant advice would be helpful -thanks!

If it was bleeding, it was not ready to hatch yet. The wet towel and leave it alone is the best you can do. (I have done the same) sometimes they don't make it, but sometimes they do fine. Leaving it in the eggshell gives it the best protection it can have right now.
