Bleeding pin feathers

She has had this condition with wing feathers for a while- we have no rooster and she is not bullied- she is boss hen’s wingman- we have monitored for months now. Vet thinks she may home some type of deficiency that is causing it. This afternoon we notice some bleeding. How can we treat this and help her? Do we use peroxide and blu kote? Or spray a liquid bandage?

Wow I’ve never heard of anything like this. Pin feathers bleed pretty easily when bothered. You can use any of the things you listed to treat it, but peroxide, iodine and vetericyn do well with treating and cleaning wounds.

And if the vet said it’s caused by a deficiency then a higher protein diet as well with extra calcium is god for feathers so maybe that could possibly help too.
