I had one get hurt yesterday. She was bleeding pretty significantly from under her right wing. I think she tried to jump through either a fence or some brush and got stuck or scratched. It's clotting but she keeps picking at it. I've removed her and put her with another injured chicken away from the main population and gave her vitamins and antibiotics to ward off infection. The clot that's still there stinks! Like, you can smell it from 4 or 5 feet away! I'm not sure whether to try to wash it (for the sake of minimizing infection risk and to keep predators from smelling it - we have panthers on our property wild) or whether to stop messing with her and let her rest so she can get better. Suggestions?

Okay, after reading up a bit more, I rinsed it off with diluted hydrogen peroxide and didn't find any open wounds although she's missing a lot of feathers. I put her in a small cage inside for the night and will put her in my outside "hospital" coop in the morning. Aside from missing feathers and a very very light anemic looking comb, she looks pretty normal at this point.
