So my new chicks are 10 weeks old & intermingle through baby gate with older flock. They still make chirping sounds. I am definately nervous about the "real" introduction & getting everyone to live peacefully together. I m aware of pecking order. I was thinking it was time to let them socialize & get it over with, I have read 3 months is good; have to wait until chirping stops; should I just do it & stop reading so much, lol ?

Yes! But be cautious. The younger the better - that goes especially for the older ones you've already got. Are they fully grown yet? And what's this about chirping?

they still have the baby chirp & I read somewhere that the older chickens don't like the chirping, so wait until they're 12 wks old when chirping has stopped?!? anyhow I tried it today lasted less then 5 minutes & I put everyone back where they belonged :(
