blind? can't open eyelids.

I just noticed that one of my black silkie chicks (hatched yesterday). Doesn't open either of its eyes... I'm wondering if the lids are just stuck together or if it means it is blind..Has anyone had this happen to them?

Sometimes the babies are really sleepy when they first hatch, also it may just have a little hatching glue over its eyelids. Maybe a soft cotton ball in warm water to wipe its eyes might help?

Often times chickens close thier eyes when they are tired or not feeling well. It is unlikely that the chick is blind, more likely the chick isn't feeeling too peppy.
