Blind Chicks hatching

I recently had a hatch of 10 chicks, 3 were blind. All the blind ones have passed away but the last one managed a week. Does anyone know what causes this? Im wondering what i should do if it happens again? I'm wondering if they possibly got sick and if there was something i could have done to prevent it. They were in incubator for about 9 hrs. before i took them out. thank you

I would guess either poor genetics or not enough nutrients in the feed the parents are getting.
