Blind Gosling?

Sorry for the delayed response. Been really busy around the in-laws ranch.
Anyways Bash & Crash are doing good. They are growing so fast. We have them on proper Gosling food, terramycin, eye droplets from the vet, save-a-chick electrolytes in one water jug, regular water in another and fresh grass about 6 times a day.

We have been taking them for walks, well really going out into the lawn and picking and eating the grass. They have a hard time following. I think both are blind in the right eyes, and limited vision in their left eyes.

Since right now their new Goose Condo isn't ready (more about that down below) they have been staying in the house in a huge horse troph that we put the chicks in. Since they are growing lil' Goslings that eat constantly they shit constantly lol. For some reasons they like to shit on each other or lay in their shit. So we have been going to Grandpa's and using his guest bathroom's bathtub for swimming lessons. They love it! Crash is a lil' swimmer! Bash is a snorer!

They are loved lil' gooses!

Bash if my Wife's and he cries if can hear her and she isn't holding him. He is a monster in size maybe a foot tall now. His right eye is a bit swollen from an infection, but with the eye stuff the swelling has gone down and starting to look normal.

Crash is mine. I found her tits up barely alive and now she is a hungry cuddle bug that eats drinks like its going out of style and insists on cuddling on my neck or side of face so she can lay on me.

So the chicken coop on the ranch has had half used as storage, but with Crash & Bash we decided that we needed to make it into a Goose Condo. It was full about an inch of dust, a petrified dead skunk, rolls of carpets with mice living in them, a humidor from 1890's that was half rotted away and full of mouse shit, and my father-in-laws storage of antique bottles (he sells antiques, or so he says...usually buys more than he sells)...fun times.

Saturday, got all of that cleaned out...took about 8 hours, then I had to take apart a wood platform that was hastily built for the humidor. All said an done about 12 hours later I got it 100%. cleaned out.

Sunday I went to go look at the divider wall between the storage section and the chicken section to find out it was just a short fence from wall to wall and a tarp wall above that. Being in construction, Electrician, I wasn't happy nor content. Ripped it all out and built a new wall between the chickens and the soon to be Goose Condo. That took the day.

Today, Monday, I saw the shitty roost that the chickens had. Took it out and built them a new one about 10' wide and 6' tall with a rung every foot. It was better than their old one that was built in the 70's that was like 4' wide and 5' tall with 3 rungs. Saw them in it tonight. They looked happy, but didn't say thank you. Bastards.

Anyways I got to building the Goose Condo after the roost. The plan is to have a big pen for Crash & Bash, and a small lil' section for the roaming Geese on the property that they can go into at night, and during the winter and be protected. Some predators got a couple last year apparently.

Got the tracks for the walls laid down, framed in the door, and put up the studs. Started walling up one section before I had to call it a day. I plan on finishing up their pen wall and the wall dividing special needs geese and roaming geese. Also before I get everything walled up I have to do some electrical work in their. So there is better lighting, for them and so you can see in there. Also replacing the old receptacles so we have GFCI ones that are safe and we can have heat lamps, night lights and whatever I want to add for them. No TV's though in their bedrooms. LOL

Shitty thing is though I'm running out of wood thats on the ranch, and my unemployment hasnt came in yet. i have 7 weeks of pending payments. My jobsite is in downtown Seattle and has been shutdown since March 22nd. Anyways hope unemployment comes in soon so I can buy the rest of the wood I need, and the electrical things so I can finish up their Goose Condo.
