Blind hen

So ok I have a hen and thought she was fine but she is so skinny and I tried to get her to eat and she had a hard time finding the food any suggestions

I have a chicken with neurological problems I hand feed her. Or I will separate her to eat by herself. Does your hen ever just back up for no reason??

Blind birds do best in a confined environment where the feed and water are always maintained in the same place. In a flock situation they become 'targets' and do not do well. A gentle flock mate may be added as a companion.

Can you post some photos of her?
How old is she?
How long has she been blind?

Where are you keeping her? Caging her with her own food/water may help since she will be more confined.
If she has lost condition, you may need to hand or tube feed her to build her back up.

I'm very sorry.
It sounds like she is coming to the end sweetie. If you can't get her to eat or drink, then she is just going to go down further.

Being old, blind and losing weight - consider her quality of life. I know it's hard, but you don't want her to suffer. Can you have someone help you put her out of her misery?
