I agree. You said this may have been new. Have you brought any new birds into your flock? That looks very much like the ocular form of Marek's disease, with the irregular shaped pupil. I know she was vaccinated, but I don't think it's 100% effective.

Where did you get them from? A hatchery or a breeder? We bought a dozen new hens a couple weeks back, but they are vaccinated as well and have not had contact with the larger flock until just today. We were keeping them in separate buildings. This hen and the other chickens she was raised with are all the newest additions of the flock otherwise. We got them a year ago.

I'll definitely keep an eye on it! She's had it for more than three weeks already, and there are no further symptoms. She's acting normal and doesn't seem to have any trouble walking or running or anything (but I've never had Marek's in my flock before, so I don't know a whole lot about it's progression)Marek's is easy to transmit and hard to get rid of. It can be brought in on your shoes and by wild birds. Vaccines will prevent or slow the growth of tumors, but vaccinated chickens still carry and spread the virus. It's very cruel.
I am not 100% sure it's what she has, but something you should consider and learn about.
My silkie hen has been vision impaired in both eyes for a few months. Her eyes are cloudy and antibiotocs and anti inflammatory meds haven't really helped. She's developed a head tilt, which made me think it could be a neurological condition. The vet had no idea what caused it. She's vaccinated- my other 7 bantams are just fine. She's very cuddly, and now lives inside. I take her out for grass time, and she'll peck around. Her head tilt is getting worse, and I'm worried she's going downhill... She's very special to me, preparing to lose her is hard....any idea what I can do?Both her eyes are the same? What about the iris color? Is it the same or getting pale?
If you have a chance, try to get some close up pics of her eyes.
The biggest problem with a blind bird is making sure they get enough to eat and drink. How is her weight?
Sorry about your hen. If you've already seen a vet, I don't know what more you can do. I know that it takes the right kind of antibiotic to be able to cross the cornea and get inside the eye itself. Otherwise, it not would be effective. My silkie hen has been vision impaired in both eyes for a few months. Her eyes are cloudy and antibiotocs and anti inflammatory meds haven't really helped. Her appetite is massive, she's fat and happy....
