I have a 5 month old polish rooster that had gotten respiratory infection. He sounds cleared up, stilll flushing his eyes and treating with antibiotics. But tonight I noticed him missing the water when trying to drink. His eyes are open. He will eventually find it. How do I know if he's blind? What can I do?

I can tomorrow. It's still kinda red, and he keeps it closed I have to open it everyday. No puss or anything comes out. There is some bubbly discharge and I think that's what's sticking it shut

Definitely sound like a upper respiratory infection.I would get him started on some Tylan 50
He's been on it and color is coming back to his waddles. I'm just concerned about his eye. He won't move around And when he does he picks his feet up high. Takes him a while to find the food and water. His Pom is trimmed back, mostly bc it was easier to see his eye for treatment

It's hard to get a good pic. He wouldn't hold still. I've been cleaning it with vetricyn poultry eye care and putting terramyicin eye gel in after. Been doing it for a few days. He's still on antibiotics too. Other eye is fine. It's clear and responds to light and movement.

His eye is a lot better today. It was open and not as red. He found the food and water by himself, although he seems to still have a little issue but not as bad. Looks like he wants to try and crow, but not quite yet.
