Blind runner duck

Such drama!  They peacefully coexist as long as Bean doesn't hop on top of Romy.  That doesn't bother Romy, but it upsets some of the runners.  sheesh.

Poor Romy just wants to get some cute boy action... can't you let her and Bean have a private date outside the view of her flockmates? Or would that totally freak everyone out?

I'm in MI, probly too far Keep the lookout, even if you come across older girls who are being retired, they make great flock additions in my experience. And I don't know what to say about poor Romy and Bean. LOL

I've included some pictures of Nelson this afternoon.. The pictures really show the difference between his eyes!

He also seems to have stopped going so crazy by the fence which makes me happy. He was sitting and relaxing in his little house when I went out to bring them lettuce. AND I think I may have found three Khaki ducks at a rescue that need a home.. I have not found any luck finding runners. What do you know about Khakis will they mingle in with him well you think?

I also included a picture of Bentley & Petri since they are just a riot in their tub

Khakis are supposed to be good egg layers. I am not sure about anything else though! His eyes look better too! I hope you are able to get those ducks, and that if you do they mingle nicely!

Actually, they do have a tryst every now and then.

Khaki Campbells and Runners seem to get along fine, based on what I have heard.

Hello everyone! I just got back from a horse show in Syracuse, NY for the week. I will post pictures and updates of Nelson later today.

Nelson is doing beyond wonderful! I was away for the week and my mum and sister came over to take care of them while I was gone. I have noticed a huge change in him. For one he has become a master at moving around his cage and not bumping in to things. He looks bigger also and not so scruffy looking. Eating food great and loves swimming in his pool!

I still am trying to find him a friend which I have not yet, but have a lady I am suppose to be calling back tomorrow.

Bentley has now also gotten a drake feather while I was away! Unfortunately the only problem there was while I was away was Petri some how damaged her bill I have checked everywhere along the bottom of the cage and cannot find anything sharp or anything she could have gotten caught on. So how she got it will forever be a mystery I guess.

What a difference Nelson looks great! and Petri may have done it on the fencing. it should heal fine, put some ACV in her water bucket to help speed healing. 1-2 Tab to 1 gal of water.
