I have a friend who has been raising 5 Turkeys since they were a couple days old . They are 3 months old now, and 1 seems to have gone blind in just a couple of days , no swelling ,no discharge or any signs of upper respiratory infection . All of the others seem to be fine . They are free range turkeys and she is not sure wether she may have encountered something toxic on her ventures . They have been on medicated feed , she does feed them some veggies from the table ,but not much she has also seen them picking at the knock out roses in her yard . What experiences has anyone had with a turkey going blind , what could have caused this ?
