Blindness caused by mites

I have a 2 year old girl who with the other 5 was found to have mites. LOTS of mites, all from the wild birds as they are always hanging around their dust bath and eating their food. She was very subdued and I put the mite killer on her, which caused them to die thankfully but she appears to not see( couldn't see before I treated the flock). I have her inside and she seems happier now the mites are dead but again, she appears to not see at all. The eyes look clear but they are unfocused. Can anyone advise if I can save this girl, she is dearly loved.

There are many causes of blindness in chickens from infections, vitamin deficiency, to cataracts, to high ammonia levels in coops, to Mareks disease, and more. I would start some poultry vitamins and try some antibiotic eye ointment such as Terramycin or Neosporin twice a day to see if it helps. A close-up picture of both eyes may also help in case anyone here has seen the problem. Sorry about your hen. Here are some links to read about eye problems:

A real close up of both eyes with special emphasis on the pupil may help resolve your concerns.
