i had a 7ish month pullet I purchased as a chIck. She was a leghorn mix. Flighty but sweet. She lived with another bird from the same farm npip mg and ms free.
They lived in an old rabbit hutch that goes down to a sand-grassy area, Probably 12x6 . Cleaned every week.
I noticed a few months ago that one of the pullets was having a harder time pecking at feed when I would toss in bread-pumpkin etc. I thought maybe it was just the light. Eventually she went completely blind, still eating and drinking I moved her and her cage mate into a smaller enclosure without a ladder. A couple days ago she developed wry neck, I was leaving for a few days and came back today. She was worse, still had weight but started pecking her legs when she would try to get food. Her head also developed a tick. She was pts today.
They both had shiny feathers and red combs. Eyes clear except for the cloudy ness that developed with the blind pullet.
Any ideas? Same feed as my silkies in a different area.
Photo of her cloudy eye. Photo taken before the wry neck.
