Blinky's eye

Make a paste with a little water, Dawn, and baking soda and let sit on the clump to soften it. It should then easily wip away with a cotton ball, that being the safest substance to use next to an eye to avoid scratching the cornea.
 
I tried soaking it off with saline. Then the baking soda mixture. I cut a little of it but it is pulling so hard on that sensitive skin that I am just torturing her at this point. Here it is with a baby wipe at the end of the ball so you can see the base of the clump and the skin under the eye. The baby wipe is just sitting there, I'm not holding it so all the weight on the skin is from the clump on the feathers.

That looks like a scab. If it is, it's attached and won't come loose until it's ready.

Or you can just wait until the feathers fall out at molt.
