Blisters Under Eyes-- Newbie Needs Help!!

I am sure this is common, I just started raising chickens a few months back. But my hubby had chickens and said he has seen this before. I had a hen show up in my yard and it won't leave, it has these blisters under it's eyes. There seems to be a little pus now and then, and one side actually popped and left a gapping whole. I keep her away from all the other chickens. Can anyone tell me what this is, is there a cure, and is it contagious. Thanks so much.

Separate her ASAP. It sounds like it could be the start of Wet Pox and is highly contagious to the other birds. There is little that can be done for it except to let it run it's course. Others may have different Ideas on it so keep checking back.
