I was told these were all hens when I bought them - but - I'm thinking I have roosters? I haven't heard any of them crowing - at what age does that start? I believe these chickens to be aprox. 3 1/2 - 4 months of age. Thanks

There are no pictures.

I've tried to post 3 pics...but doesn't seem to?

Are those just 5 birds? The Aus in the second pic at the bottom, looks like a pullet to me

The reds are all males. The two blacks in the first pic look like males. The middle pic--the one with no comb looks female and the one with some comb I'm iffy on. I'm guessing it's the same black bird in a pic by itself--I'm leaning toward pullet getting ready to lay but no guarantee. Sorry you've got a lot of roos.

Thanks for the input. Bummer - that's what I was afraid of. Another question - how does having roosters now effect the eggs? Can you still just gather and eat or what has to be done?

Yes you can eat the fertilised eggs. Don't let the girls incubate them. Just collect them once they've been laid, keep them in the fridge and you won't know the difference.
