Bloated silkie! Help!

This is TOO weird...as I fed the chickens in the coop today, I noticed one of the other Silkies getting picked on by the big girls as usual and I thought "Hmmmm, maybe she should inside for awhile and get some r &r with sister. SO, I brought her in and low and behold this afternoon they are BOTH eating and drinking!!!:D Of course, I can't tell who is doing all the pooping, but the peer pressure seems to be working! We will see what tomorrow brings!!

I learned via "Russian chicken" that the mites my chickens have are "De-Pluming" mites. There are super tiny, hard to see without a magnifying glass. The dust doesn't work well with them because they are so tiny. I have been battling them with CV-80D spray both in the coop and on the birds. Then I frontlined them all.My sick girl in the house is mite-free now. Happy to say, now that I have some Polysporin on the way, one of her eyes is now open and she can see to find her food and water ...and take a peek at me now and then. Her crop is still severely distended. I checked her compared to the other Silkie I had in for company and the difference was staggering. I continue to look for more information on her malformity. She seems pretty healthy besides that, so I'll continue as we have been. She's going to think we're best friends by the time this overzealous finally over!!:p
