I've spent the last half hour looking in the files, sorry, couldn't find the answer.

On the only other forum I frequent, from the userCP we can check mark forums that aren't of interest to us.
I'm positive I once had a email from BYC that allowed a selection to block off games. These are a good 20% of the threads on every page, and I could read a lot more about chickens if I could block them.

I mean absolutely no offence to those that play, I'm sure they are a ton of fun. I just limit my on-line time to 2 hours a day and it gets eaten up really fast. I'm now out that 1/2 hour searching :)

Thank you.

The games are only in the social forum, so just don't go to the social forums. I am new to BYC so I guess I don't understand why you have to muddle through all the game posts, unless you are clicking the tab that says new posts or hot?

I'm sure they're clicking on the "New Posts" tab. That's what I used to do, but it was really tiring in the new format since it always refreshed whenever I went to a thread then went back. I had trouble keeping track of where I was. Plus, the fantasy threads are very abundant.

So, I now only go to the specific board I'm interested in. That changes with the stages my chickens are in.

I only use the "new posts" function if the boards I like are super slow.

You can collapse the forum sections you aren't interested in. The - symbol is at the far right of the blue band above each section.

Unfortunately this doesn't apply to forums within the section or the new posts area.

Thank you, I think that is the one button I didn't try, figures :) there are still 4-5 games posts per page even with the forum collapsed, weird that.

Yes, I do 'new posts'. My connection is slow, pages take time to load, and slogging through the forums individually takes much longer than skimming down new posts.

Thank you again Terrie, I appreciate your taking the time to point that out.
