Here is a pic of one of the bard-rock chicks next to a blond chick. All hatched yesterday and today.

The father is a RIR.

I have in my flock as follows 2 sex-link one bard-rock one Wyandot one naked neck and two Americana. So my recent hatch produced no naked neck or Americana at all. I put eggs in from all my hens....they either weren’t fertile or didn’t survive. My sex-link are 5 years old; and not laying consistently so I don’t think they got in with the clutch; I did get two Wyandot chicks from this hatch.
SO, I’m thinking maybe this blonde is from a sex-link after all....and the RIR roo.

Any thought?
Please note that the majority of this hatch is bard-rock.

What kind of sexlinks do you have? Red or black?

You say there are no Americana chicks in this batch--is that based on what color of eggs did and did not hatch?

You don't give the colors of most of your chickens, and you don't show the comb of the chicks, so that leaves very little info to go on.

I would expect chicks from Wyandottes to have rose combs, but it's sometimes possible for a Wyandotte to have a single-combed chick.

A hen with a naked neck can sometimes produce a chick without the naked neck--do you say there are no naked necks because of which eggs didn't hatch, or because there are no naked necks among the chicks?

Ok thanks for the input.
I’ve always hatched my own duck eggs in and know all my duck. This is only the second attempt at hatching my chickens. The first time I only had two eggs in a small incubator and only one hatched. It was a naked neck....the father was an Orpington. Sadly I’ve lost father mother and the offspring in a round of bad luck due to some unknown illness.

I do not really know which eggs I put in except the Wyandotte and the Americana because they are distinctly different from the others. The Wyandot is a milk chocolate brown with speckles. The Americana is blue/green. The rest are just beige. Not other characteristics to it.

(It so happens that one Americana did hatch and it’s definitely not like the other blond. He/she has grey mixed into the blond like it’s mama.)

So looking back at old baby pictures from 2014 when I hand raised my BR and Sexlink chicks I see I have one sexlink in this new 2020 batch. I wasn’t sure because in 2014 I was knew to chicken raising, and it was my first batch I always thought in 2014 that the brown ones were my Wyandot. But looking back at baby pics, I see I have 4 brown chicks; two look like the one in this new batch...the other two look like the 2014 Wyandot chicks.

So that clears up a lot.
I am 98% sure the black chicks in the 2020 batch are BR for sure. I hand raised so many now.... So the “blond” in question is getting a red hue each day. She’s more strawberry now. I am including better photos. You’ll see a second blond. But it’s the Americana. It has grey spots on back and head.
