I am new to this forum and new to incubating. We set 15 eggs on 29 Feb and 7 of them have hatched. The most recent one had blood around the View attachment 2056663crack, but she just hatched now. She is totally exhausted and I can see spots of blood on her. I will leave her be for now. Two pics attached. Congratulations on your new babies.

Occasionally a chick will manage to hit a live vein in the membrane that still has blood running through it when they pip. Having lost a bit of blood that chick may take a bit longer to recover from hatching, but if it has managed to hatch successfully all by itself then it's a strong baby.
