Blood coming from vent during AI?

It could be a testicular issue, like infection, or some other cause. Just an educated guess. I haven't done AI yet, but will once I begin breeding.
Interesting. Would their be any other signs of infection or something else that we should look for?

I'm not quite sure, actually. Possibly fertility issues, & Inflammation of the testis.

Inflammation won't be visible unless the bird is X Rayed, or necropsied, or examined during butcher.

Birds are difficult.

Gottcha. We've inseminated 2 times with no fertility. Not sure which hen its the eggs are coming from though. We're not getting many right now. The infertile eggs could be coming from a hen fertilized by another rooster. I think we'll have to separate each hen to collect eggs. Thank you!

It could be you are hurting/damaging something cause him to bleed.

Total guess.
This is what I'm concerned about. Though we've done AI on two roosters using the same method with no issues. :idunnoI'll see if I can get a video on Wednesday.
Thanks everyone!

Hey everyone, I feel like I've been posting a lot of threads lately, so thanks in advance for all the help! :p
Today me and a friend did a second trial with Artificial Insemination to create bantam Easter Eggers. We are using her bantam roosters to inseminate her EE hens. Last time we inseminated, Diva did have some blood in the semen. I blamed that on a scab he had above his vent that broke during the process. So I'm not sure if it was the same issue as last time. This time, the scab was gone, and I still noticed there was a small amount of blood. The fluid was pink when we got it in the pipette. Is this normal? I'm assuming its not. What is the likely cause of this? Thanks for any help! I appreciate it.
Uh oh, I hope everything’s okay! :fl

I have no clue. I've seen that video before, it seems pretty straightforward, but having blood doesn't sound very good.

Please do take a video or photos, it will be interesting to see what happens.
I will. Thanks for all the help everyone! Hopefully a video or photos will shed more light. :)
