Blood... everywhere(not overly gory, but you've been warned)

I would fill these holes up with some instant concrete.
I've been meaning to do something about them, but it's a bit of a complicated coop and the pesky things have chewed holes in all the best places that are the hardest to reach.

This could have been a failed least weasel attack or a rat.
I'm beginning to think that, although it's one sad weasel if it failed on something as small as Psycho...

Might be a young or injured/sick one.

UPDATE: Psycho is inside and doing well. I don't think the blood was from him since he's now cleaned most of it off of himself and there isn't any new blood, plus I still can't find where it would have come from. He's still looking super pale in his comb, but otherwise, all is well.
Glad to hear he is doing well! I would have been worried too.

Glade to hear, I figured Psycho beat the tar out of something protecting his hens.
What a great rooster!! :love

Hi, there. Have you parted his feathers all the way down to the skin on his back? The spot where you can see blood on the feathers? it just seems like too big of a coincidence that he went very pale at the same time that he had blood all over him. I would be concerned about blood loss. If he’s doing great… That’s great! I had a really anemic girl last summer and she did really well with finely chopped cooked beef liver. It was a great iron boost that she seem to metabolize pretty well. Could you offer that to psycho?

I have looked through nearly all of his feathers down to the skin and don't see anything anywhere. I've been pumping him full of vitamins, and plenty of treats(healthy, not filling, just not his normal layer pellet diet...), but I hadn't even thought of giving him any meat. We must have liver tucked away in some freezer still.
