Blood Globs Under Hen

Morning update: No more weird globs under Daisy, and so far, she is acting normal! Her comb still seems a little pale to me, but all in good time, perhaps?
Noting that, I feel safe to assume the globs were Intact Follicles, as Wyorp Rock suggested. Does anyone know how to prevent that from happening again? I was so scared I was going to lose my baby girl.

I don't think there is a way to prevent Intact Follicles from "dropping".
I would suspect that a Follicle traveling through the reproductive system cause irritation, since it is "material" that shouldn't be there.
This would make Daisy feel unwell.

I'd see that she is eating/drinking o.k. and moving about the best she can. If she seems to have more problems, hunches up or seems to be having a hard time expelling anything, then I'd give her 1 Calcium Citrate +D3 tablet for a couple of days.

What do you feed your hens?

Okay! Thank you so much!
Currently, Daisy is doing completely normal, and hasn't seemed to have had any problems since the day she had the intact follicle. I just hope she keeps it up!
Right now they are on a half-and-half of layer and chick feed (both are 20% protein) because I am working on integrating chicks. They also have oyster shell free-choice 24/7. I do have Calcium and D3 on hand, so I will give her a pill if she seems to be having issues again. Thank you again!
