So my 4-5 year old hen hasn’t been eating very much the last 2 days but she has been drinking water. She seemed kinda slow today not moving around a lot. I thought that maybe something was going on with her crop, when I picked her up and barely touched it to see if it was hard, liquid immediately started coming out. It smelled really bad so I bent over so she would be upside down and more came out. Then it looked like it was pinkish red. She now is just laying down and making some noises. I’m not sure what to do now.

How is your hen?

It sounds like she has a Sour Crop or maybe even an impact somewhere as well.
Hard to know about the color - food that is soured can turn colors.
I would not turn her upside down again - you risk aspiration - the noises she's making does she sound like she's wheezing?

Get us some photos of her and her poop.

Here's some reading about crop issues

I kept her in the house on Sunday night, she stopped making the noise it was almost like she was trying to catch her breath. Which scared me so much. She drank a good amount of water on Sunday but didn’t really eat much. I read that hard boiled eggs are good for a sick chicken so I feed her some eggs on Monday morning and she seemed to perk up. Her poop was watery but a normal color dark brown with some white in it. She didn’t do much on Monday but the weather here wasn’t nice. This morning I put her outside he sun is out and she is scratching at the ground and eating also moving around faster than what she was. Not as fast as normal but I think she is getting there. I was thinking about getting her some plain yogurt but I have always read conflicting things about that.

Also her comb is nice and red, looks normal so I think that is a good sign.

Did you check her crop first thing in the morning before she had anything to eat/drink to see if it was empty?
If the crop is not empty - then treating her for Sour Crop would be a good idea.

Thank you for your help!
It didn’t seem to be completely empty but this is the first time I have had to do this so I’m not completely sure what I’m doing. What would you suggest I do to treat her?
