Blood in Egg Yolk?

I have White Layers, so they lay every day, and one just laid a soft egg today. They were pecking at it and broke the shell, but when cracked open there was dark red blood in the yolk. Is this normal or indicative of a disease or injury? Help would be appreciated, thanks.

The blood spot can be 'normal'.
The soft shells maybe not so much.
Age and laying history of your ducks would help others help you.
I'm not fluent(at all) in duck but this video about chicken egg formation might help, I think they are pretty similar:
