Blood in poop! Cocci or Intestinal Shedding?

Hello! I went in to check on my pullets and came across this nasty poo on top of their feed bin! All of my girls are acting normal and energetic, but the only problem is I can’t identify who made the poo in the first place to monitor how she’s doing? Could this be Cocci? Sorry if it’s a bit gross looking

They also get oatmeal to peck around for daily, maybe too much calcium at their age?

How are the chicks getting calcium? Do you use a starter food?

The chicks are just getting starter chick crumbles, when I mentioned calcium I was meaning in the oatmeal, I was reading that oatmeal has nutrients in it that are good for laying hens, so I figured maybe they weren’t ready for those kinds of nutrients yet? I’ve just been giving them the oatmeal as a daily treat.

I’m thinking it’s just an intestinal shed, but I want to get more opinions before it’s settled that the poo is nothing to worry about.

Stop the oatmeal and just feed them the chick starter.
Shed intestinal lining is normal on occasion but if it's frequent, I recommend getting them started on Corid. If you see more blood, definitely get them on Corid.

I had gone to look at the poo after it had dried and it was just an intestinal shed. I haven’t noticed any blood in poo as well. Would you still recommend starting them on Corid? Just in case?

No, if it was simply a one time shed, there's no need to treat the chicks with corid.

My two week old chicks are having the same problem... and the corid doesnt arrive until 7 days later..will they survive if its coccidiosis?

Are all the chicks shedding intestinal lining, any blood? If so, mix buttermilk or even milk in their feed (make it milky). Either will coat the intestinal lining to slow the damaging effects of coccidia until the corid arrives. Ensure feeders and waterers are feces free at all times, clean brooder frequently.
