Hi all!!!! so yesterday I brought home 4 hybrid chickens- One road rock, one speckledy , one Colombian black tail, and one blue hybrid sometimes called Bluebell or blue rock and they are all wormed and Deloused and vaccinated against the common chicken diseases including coccidiosis. I put them in the coop yesterday and they are on chick crumbs mixed with millets seeds as a scratch food and they are also on show growers pellets mixed in the feed which are about half a cm long . All of them look alert and happy and Are eating fine and drinking water fine but however the blue hybrid hen has started pooping blood- like going for a poop but instead small drops of blood and a bit of stool pass out and blood in visible in her poop. I thought it might be something to do with not having Enough grit so I gave them grit. That was about two hours ago and since then she has not done a bloody poop or popped blood . My only worry is. Coccidiosis has a symptom which includes bloody poop but she has been vaccinated against this- and if I gave her Medicated feed wouldn't that render the vaccination useless and make them more succeptible?? I don't want to overdose them on vaccination or medication and make them more vulnerable, All the hens are seven weeks old and the bedding is wood shavings - which they sometimes peck at and maybe swallow ?is there any other reasons for bloody poop and blood ? Could it be that they just moved in? Bigger feed pellets? Not enough grit? I just hope it isnt coccidiosis and how could it be if She is vaccinated and wormed?i will include some pictures of the hen when her poop - Any cure / advise would be greatly appreciated asap!!!!! Thanks in advance all!!

Corid is not a medicine....it will not hurt them one bit, Cocci on the other will hurt them and it can kill.

Then eating pellets will not cause blood.

Does it actually have coccidiosis???

Also try feeding plain yogurt and cooked egg (especially the yolk). Keep a close eye on that one's bum, it might have trouble with pasty butt. If it survives, it will be stronger and have some immunity to cocci IMO.

No, Corid it does not.
The vaccine does.
No form the pictures does it look like the she. Has coccidiosis ? - she is alert and fine the only symptom is the bloody poop

Unfortunately the vaccine does not alway work.
Medicated feed will not cure it either.
You best bet is to hurry up and get some Corid get it in that chicken asap.
CORID dosing
I can't :( I'm from England and live in the city and the vets here only deal with domestic pets like cats dogs etc . They don't do poultry :( is there any other possible causes of bloody poop especially because she's 7 weeks old - is it always coccidiosis? Or can it be something else ? Once again thanks for all the help eveyone !
